Programming Coordinator

We’re looking for a motivated and energetic part-time Programming Coordinator to help put together Midland Park’s annual arts festival, the Birkdale Arts Festival (formerly Birkdale Art in the Park). For years, this event has brought art lovers in Scarborough together in the spirit of collaboration, local pride, and a sense of community.

Position Description:

  • Assist Project Manager with all aspects of programming for the Birkdale Arts Festival, including exhibitor support, workshops, entertainment, yoga, etc.

  • Oversee logistical issues, such as equipment rentals and site set-up

Qualifications:

  • Must be available to be on-site at the festival: Saturday June 22, 2019

  • passionate about arts, culture and community

  • strong communication skills

  • proactive self-starter

  • reliable, professional and organized

  • able to meet deadlines

  • flexible, and open to feedback

  • Create volunteer policies

  • Arrange for volunteer evaluation and appreciation

  • strong communication skills

  • proactive self-starter

  • reliable, professional and organized

  • able to meet deadlines

  • flexible, and open to feedback

  • experience managing teams considered an asset
